SPARK Literacy Foundation is a California nonprofit corporation, incorporated in June 2026. While our 501(c)(3) application is pending, gifts are received through our fiscal sponsor, Friendship Circle of Los Angeles (FCLA), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Adopt a school in the Negev
Every adoption funds teacher training, teacher stipends, and implementation coaching for a school's kindergarten-through-sixth-grade classrooms. You'll know your school. Every adopter is matched to a school. As schools join the initiative, you can choose yours, or we'll assign you one, and you'll hear what the teachers are teaching and what the children are learning.
Support our mission
Your gift helps a child learn to read. SPARK Literacy Foundation brings Sound-to-Print (Linguistic Phonics) instruction to schools that could not otherwise afford it. In Israel's Negev, our Bi-Literacy Project with mindCET brings Hebrew and English literacy to under-resourced communities. In the U.S., our grants pay for the CAPIT Reading curriculum, training for every teacher, and stipends for their time. Seven in ten students struggle to read. Together we can change that.
